During the convention, Pocket Chaser Inc. distributed samples of its lime flavor chaser strips to nightclub and bar industry peers for an exclusive sneak peak of its highly anticipated patent-pending product. The company received order inquiries from both retailers and distributors, but also received a significant amount of interest from bars and nightclubs. Alcohol serving venues are looking for new ways to reduce the wasteful cost of sliced limes and lemons that go unused every night, and the perishability of fresh citrus fruit. “One unexpected inquiry came from the U.S. Air Force to supply troops in areas abroad where real citrus fruits cannot be shipped”, said Gil Sanchez, Co-founder and Executive VP of Business Development.
Convention goers were treated to lab samples of the dissolving lime chaser strips and the feedback was approvingly positive. From staff at Southern Wine & Spirits, the largest liquor products distributor in the U.S., to representatives from Patron Tequila, the reaction was the same, the flavor intensity from such a thin lime strip exceeded everyone’s expectations. “Several liquor manufacturers expressed an interest in bundling packs of our dissolving chaser strips with their liquor bottles giving them a competitive boost on the retail shelf”, stated Brian Yarberry, Co-founder and Executive VP of Sales & Marketing.
